In the Interwebs: Quality macarons at Trader Joe’s??

16 Mar

Having eaten some of the best macarons from Ladureé in Paris (many say the only ones better are those from Pierre Hermé), I’m often skeptical of macarons made here in the U.S. They’re simply not of the same caliber. But many come close, like Cacao in nearby Bethesda and Vanille Patisserie in Chicago.

Apparently Trader Joe’s has managed to work its way into the ranks of buzz-worthy macarons. If my local TJ’s carries them, I’ll be sure to buy a box and see for myself…
